On Thursday, April 11, 2019, the Florida Alliance for Healthcare Value (formerly the Florida Health Care Coalition) hosted its 26th Annual National Conference, “Extraordinary Challenges: Extraordinary Leaders” at the Rosen Conference Centre in Orlando, FL. This year’s conference featured a nationally recognized faculty of high-level health care professionals who shared their expertise in tackling the challenges associated with moving from “volume to value” in healthcare delivery and payment reform, and ensuring patient safety and quality stay at the forefront of healthcare delivery. The conference also included important discussions on how employers can lead their communities in tackling pressing challenges like unnecessary C-sections and opioid abuse and addiction.
Employers are leading the revolution to change how health care is delivered and paid for through innovative program design. In this year’s sessions, participants learned how to evolve their benefit design and healthcare offerings to maximize each dollar spent and improve the health of their workforce.
